Stevan Hristić – Španska pesma (Spanish Song) | Art Song for Soprano and Piano | Lyrics by Aleksa Šantić 🔶Stevan Hristić was born in Belgrade in 1885. He received his first musical education at the Serbian Music School in Belgrade, where one of his teachers was Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac. He later continued his studies in Leipzig, Moscow, and Rome, where he studied composition and conducting. After returning to Belgrade, Hristić became one of the leading figures of Serbian musical life. He served as conductor and director of the Belgrade Opera, chief conductor of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and was among the first professors at the newly established Music Academy in Belgrade. In 1948, he was elected a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. His most significant work is the ballet The Legend of Ohrid, one of the most important achievements of Serbian art music. Although his body of solo songs is relatively small, it occupies an important place in the tradition of the Serbian art song. 🔶Jovanka Mihajlović- soprano, was born in Belgrade. She graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, at the Department for singing in the class of Professor Nikola Mijailović. Jovanka Mihajlovic graduated at the Department for piano, as well, in the class of Professor Jelena Jovanović- Petrović. She completed lower music school “Josip Slavenski” the Department for harpsichord, in the class of Professor Svetlana Stojanović. She works as a teacher of singing in the Music school “Stanislav Binički” in Belgrade. 🔶Kosta Knežević was born in 1994. He graduated from elementary and middle school of music “Kosta Manojlović” in Zemun in the class of prof. Ana Živanović. He finished his bachelor and master studies at the Academy of Arts Novi Sad in the class of prof. Ratimir Martinović. He went on to study at the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts in Pecs, in the class of prof. Csaba Kiraly, and in the class of prof. Pavel Raykerus at the Chengdu University of Arts College of Music in China as a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education of China and attended a large number of master courses. He is currently employed as an assistant professor at the chamber music department of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. Since 2016 he has been a part of the organizational team of SOMUS festival. Prvo muzičko obrazovanje stekao u Srpskoj muzičkoj školi u Beogradu gde mu je jedan od profesora bio i Stevan Stojanović Mokranjac, a kasnije je studije nastavio u Lajpcigu, Moskvi i Rimu, gde je studirao kompoziciju i dirigovanje. Nakon povratka u Beograd, Hristić je postao jedna od centralnih ličnosti srpskog muzičkog života. Iako je njegov opus solo pesama relativno mali, on zauzima važno mesto u srpskoj umetničkoj pesmi. 🔶Jovanka Mihajlović - sopran, rođena je u Beogradu. Diplomirala je na Fakultetu muzičke umetnosti u Beogradu, na odseku za solo pevanje u klasi profesora Nikole Mijailovića. Diplomirala je i na odseku za klavir, u klasi profesorke Jelene Jovanović-Petrović. Završila je i srednju muzičku školu na odseku za čembalo u klasi profesorke Svetlane Stojanović. Radi kao profesor solo pevanja u Muzičkoj školi „Stanislav Binički” u Beogradu. 🔶Kosta Knežević - klavir, rođen je 9. maja 1994. godine. Završio je nižu i srednju muzičku školu „Kosta Manojlović“ u Zemunu u klasi prof. Ane Živanović. Završio je osnovne i master studije u klasi redovnog prof. Ratimira Martinovića na Akademiji Umetnosti u Novom Sadu. Usavršavao se na Fakultetu muzičke i vizuelne umetnosti u Pečuju, u klasi prof. Čabe Kiralja i u klasi prof. Pavela Rajkersa na Umetničkom koledžu Čengdu univerziteta u Kini kao stipdendista ministarstva prosvete Kine i pohađao veliki broj majstorskih kurseva. Trenutno je zaposlen u zvanju docenta na katedri za kamernu muziku Akademije umetnosti u Novom Sadu. Od 2016. godine učestvuje u organizaciji festivala Somborske muzičke svečanosti. Aktivno nastupa kao solista, korepetitor i kamerni muzičar u zemlji i inostranstvu.
