A new major road, the Gurney Bridge, recently opened in Penang, Malaysia, providing a fast, eight-lane connection from Gurney Drive to the man-made Andaman Island, significantly cutting travel time from 20 minutes to just 5 minutes and offering pedestrian access as part of a future "15-minute city" concept. This bridge is the second link to the island, enhancing connectivity and supporting the island's development into a residential and commercial hub.
