Storm Franklin the River Tees Flood in Barnard Castle 20th February 2022

A rough cut of the River Tees running through Barnard Castle as Storm Franklin brought heavy rain to the UK. The Tees is notorious for the speed in which it rises and falls and despite only being classed as a yellow weather warning the river rose rapidly on the 20th February, before returning to more normal levels the following day. Lots of debris from fallen trees caused by storms Corrie, Dudley, Malik and Eunice were washed downstream as the river rose. You can see one tree smash into one of the bridge pillars at 0.22 sec.
