Andrei van Wyk live - The Point of Order, Johannesburg 2025

A live radiophonic performance at The Point of Order in Johannesburg. Built on my ongoing research on sonic performance as a means to renarrativise the past, with a particular focus on apartheid era dispossession. The narrative focus is my own family's experience of forced removal in Gqerberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) in the late 60s and the manner in which their lives collectively changed. My work seeks to explore the sonic of apartheid, focusing on the legal systems, racialized spatial politics, and apparatuses of force used to forcefully remove and move.
