Bagh e Babur (Babur’s Garden) is a historic garden in Kabul, Afghanistan. It was created in the early 16th century by Zahir-ud-din Muhammad Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire. Babur loved gardens and ordered the garden to be developed on a hillside overlooking Kabul. After his death in 1530, he was buried there according to his wishes. The garden later became an important historical site for the Mughal dynasty. Over the centuries, Bagh-e Babur was damaged by earthquakes, wars, and neglect. In the early 2000s, it underwent major restoration, bringing back much of its traditional Mughal-style layout.
