Scottish Highlands Loop- Day 2: Drymen to Sallochy Campsite

ℹ️Stats Date: June 21st 2025 Weather: Cool and breezy. Great hiking weather, though the afternoon and evening brought a bit of rain. From: Drymen Campsite Start time: 8:00am To: Sallochy Campsite End time: 3:30pm ish Accommodation: tent in an established campground Terrain: Wide easy paths at first. Then a short but stiff climb over Conic Hill, followed by a brutal descent. Occasionally technical trail along the lake. 🥾Miles: 13.8 miles 🦶Steps: 22,670 🏔 Ascent: 2129 feet Total miles on the SHL: 24.7 Subjective feeling out of 10 on: Scenery: 8/10- Started plain, ended big. Difficulty: 6/10 - Felt like more than 13.8; good amount of elevation for that distance. Solitude: 2/10 - Pretty crowded on Conic Hill and the lake; Balmaha was nuts.
