This platform will show you the different times, routes, and prices available. The private buses offer a very affordable way for tourists to get around. I've always felt safe. The shuttles are specifically for tourists, and they cost more than the private buses, but they offer direct routes between tourist destinations and cost less than private drivers. They can bring you anywhere in Guatemala and even across the border to Mexico, El Salvador, Belize, or Honduras. 🚙 Car Rentals in Guatemala: I don't recommend driving in Guatemala unless you're from the country. This is because most people don't have vehicle insurance in Guatemala, and usually, driving laws aren't enforced. However, some people feel confident driving in Guatemala, and therefore, I can recommend using Discover Cars to search for different rental agencies and prices. The private hospitals offer the best quality of care, but you will need to pay for these services. For example, if you need surgery, this can cost thousands of dollars out of pocket if you don't have insurance.
