We Stopped Buying These Items for Vinted... Here's Why When we first started reselling, there were certain things we'd see while sourcing and immediately think, "That's a great pick-up." But after selling on Vinted for a while, we've become a LOT more selective about what actually makes it into our stock. In this video, we're sharing the things we've stopped buying for Vinted, from vintage sportswear where the margins aren't quite good enough, to vintage pieces with unclear sizing, high-value accessories that tie up too much money, and items where the demand just isn't clear. And it's not necessarily because these are "bad" items. In many cases, they're things that can sell. We've just realised they don't always make sense for the way we want to run our reselling business. We'll talk about: Why we've become more selective with vintage sportswear Why unclear sizing can create unnecessary buyer friction Why higher-priced items aren't always better opportunities Why authentication risk matters when sourcing luxury accessories What we think about items with too many potential condition problems Why profit per item isn't the only thing we look at anymore How our sourcing strategy has changed since we started reselling One of the biggest lessons we've learned is that the item with the biggest potential profit isn't necessarily the best item to buy. Sell-through, competition, capital tied up, buyer questions, risk and how easy something is to sell all matter too. We're not saying you should never buy any of these things, just that after our own experience selling them, they've stopped making sense for us. If you're a Vinted seller, we'd love to know: what have YOU stopped buying since you started reselling? https://houseofjamz.com
