Chopping up Japanese 45s - MPC 3000 + Yamaha SU 700 + OP 1

Found some soulful 45s at a local thrift store, all in Japanese so I know nothing about the artists, but did some quick micro chopping through the Yamaha SU 700, SP404 OG, OP-1 and sequenced in the MPC 3000. Also trying out a pair of Chandler Limited Tone Control EQ's, which have huge headroom and make the drums sound way heavier than they are. Didn't end up using all the samples, but saving a few for the next batch. Most of the bass notes were created using the filter & pitch in the Yamaha sampler, making the original samples unrecognizable. final track will be on my next tape, coming soon here -- eddieleonard.bandcamp.com
