The Trip - Her dad surprised her in the Dominican Republic, and showed us what God's love looks like

Have you ever wondered what God’s love looks like in real life? During this summer’s Ultimate Workout 36 mission trip to the Dominican Republic, Maranatha's Dina Ramirez witnessed a moment that perfectly captured the unconditional, joyful love of our Heavenly Father. Ultimate Workout is more than just a mission trip; it is an intense, life-changing experience where over 100 teenagers dedicate their summer to construction, outreach, and healthcare ministries. This year, under the theme “Marked By the Name,” we focused on the profound truth that God chooses us, and nothing can alter that connection. While the week was filled with incredible transformation, the most unforgettable experience happened on our final Sabbath during a beach baptism. A father, who traveled to surprise his daughter after hearing she was going to be baptized, waited patiently on the shore. As she emerged from the water, she turned to see him standing there—a heartwarming reunion that immediately touched everyone watching, including Dina. In that single, tearful embrace, she saw a reflection of how God waits for us: smiling, clapping, and standing with open arms, ready to welcome us home.
