What if the only way to explore a cave was by boat?
Travel the Tri-States heads underground at Spook Cave & Campground in Clayton County, Iowa, for one of the most unique tours we've experienced on the show!
Nathan joins Spook Cave manager and tour guide Kylee Bries for a boat ride deep beneath the Northeast Iowa bluffs. The adventure starts by ducking through a narrow entrance before the cave opens into a series of rooms filled with fascinating natural formations.
Along the way, Kylee explains how the water level is controlled to make the boat tours possible, how portions of the cave were expanded decades ago, and how stalactites and other formations continue to grow today.
We'll also get an up-close look at the cave's massive **Frozen Waterfall**, learn about a formation estimated to be around 2,700 years old, and discover where the water flowing through Spook Cave eventually emerges at beautiful Beulah Falls.
The full Spook Cave boat tour lasts approximately 30–35 minutes and travels about 1,000 feet into the cave before turning around, making this a one-of-a-kind family adventure in the heart of Northeast Iowa.
