Animal Kingdom Lodge Disney World: Is a Savanna View Room Worth it?
Join me for an honest Savanna View room tour at Jambo House — Room 4214 on Kudu Trail overlooking Sunset Savanna — and I'll show you if the extra cost is worth it for a family of 6.
I'm Ashley — Mom of 4, Registered Dietitian and Travel Agent — sharing what I priced out for 2026 so you can decide before you book.
IN THIS TOUR: African-inspired decor with carved headboards and Mickey details, two queen beds, private balcony for animal viewing (plus what happens after dark), double vanity with rainfall shower, Keurig, beverage cooler, under-bed luggage storage, and all the family details that matter with kids.
2026 PRICING BREAKDOWN (before tax):
• Savanna View: averaged $771/night
• Resort View: averaged $521/night
• Difference: ~$250/night extra for Savanna View
*Promotions can lower this
WHO SHOULD BOOK WHAT:
Book Savanna View if you'll have downtime in your room during the day to watch animals. Save with Resort View if your family prefers to explore — the public savanna overlooks are excellent and you'll still see animals.
