Here’s a little something to celebrate that this channel now has a thousand followers. I appreciate everyone of you.
This is a generative patch made of the notes included in the ‘heavenly chord’. Or actually two generative patches. Both with the same notes but slightly different. The second one is more in the background and has a low root note.
I did not make a video / split screen of that second patch because I did basically the same (which is very little) with that one.
Is it me or do my hands indeed distract from the sound? I don't like it.
If anyone asks: I am not going to share this patch, but if you’re interested:
Oscillators 1 & 2 are ever changing wavetables, oscillator 3 is a saw. Two LFO’s are sine’s, three LFO’s are step’s, all BPM sync off. Pre-fx is a distortion, post-fx an EQ. There’s delay, reverb, noise and a bit of ring modulation. The mutants are all PWM variations. And all of the above is modulated with LFO’s and envelopes in the mod matrix.
Also modulated in the mod matrix: wavescan, oscillator volumes and slight pitch variations, dry/wet and other parameters of the fx, panning of the oscillators, dry/wet, ratios and depth of the mutants, volume and panning of the noise and ringmod.
All envelope loops are on Infinite.
Also important In the mod matrix: the three step LFO’s are assigned to the three oscillators, and all pitches are at 128.
So: LFO 1 / OSC 2 / Pitch / 128.0, LFO 2 / OSC 3 / Pitch / 128.0, LFO 3 / OSC 1 / Pitch / 128.0. That’s the way to use the LFO’s as a sequencer.
I added EQ and reverb and mastered it in Logic Pro X.
Cheers!
