FS STL-10A | Failure + Distant FS 2001-SRN AC & Ambiance | Hackney, Kansas | 3/19/24

At 12:01:50 Cowley County conducted a weekly test of the Strother Field Airport/Hackney Outdoor Warning Sirens on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, the test consisted of about a 3 minute Alert. I figured I should venture out into other sirens in Cowley County other than Ark City, and I’ve had my eye on this for a while so I tried it today. Kraven tagged along with me, as usual, since he lives in the county. This STL-10 is part of the county system, and the switch is on so it must’ve just failed. It took a while for the county to get all the sirens going so you can hear a few sirens from Ark City and Winfield before the 2001s by us started up. The 2001 about half a mile to the north was visible, so I was able to turn my camera and zoom in on it during the test. The Fedelcode also went off which was not expected since I originally thought it was shut off after the county installed sirens there. It was quiet cause of the big buildings blocking it though.
