South African Tax Justice Working Group Seminar

On Friday, 11 September, the South African Tax Justice Working Group hosted a second hybrid seminar in our series, exploring taxation not as a technical economic issue but as a fundamental question of democracy, accountability, and power. In our second seminar, we examined South Africa’s income tax system and asked whether it contributes to a more just society or reproduces existing inequalities.
