The Future We Weren't Promised: The Art of Frutiger Aero Music (feat. Small Artists Initiative)

Today we remember the remnants of Window Vista's design language "Aero" mostly as a pillar of a much larger aesthetic, one that dominated that period of time before widespread social media use: Frutiger Aero. But is Frutiger Aero, as we think of it today, truly the future that was promised to us? As time has gone by, we have attributed a lot to this aesthetic that wasn’t really there in the first place. Rather, Frutiger Aero as it existed is not as we remember it. And neither was its optimistic outlook. Nowhere is this idea more apparent than the music of the Frutiger Aero aesthetic.
