Kolkata to Kankrajhor 🏍️ | The Ride That Took Us Into the Jungle! 🌳 | Chapter 1

An early morning start from Kolkata, three friends, scorching heat, unexpected drama, and miles of beautiful roads leading into the jungles of Kankrajhor! 🏍️🌳 Welcome to *Chapter 1 of our Kankrajhor ride series!* This time, I set out from Kolkata with my friends Rajdeep and Arundeb for my very first ride to Kankrajhor, West Bengal. We started around 5 AM, running on very little sleep but full of excitement for the road ahead. The morning began with humid weather, a tea stop at Dhulaghor Toll Plaza, and a highway ride along NH 16. But things took an unexpected turn at Kolaghat when a disagreement over motorcycle parking forced us to leave a breakfast joint without eating! 😅 With breakfast sorted at another small roadside place, we continued towards Kharagpur. As the sun climbed higher, the heat became almost unbearable. A refreshing coconut water stop near Lodhasuli, Jhargram, gave us the energy we desperately needed. And then came the best part of the ride. The highways gradually gave way to beautiful forest roads, quiet stretches through the jungle, and the scenic twists and turns of Belpahari. With small plateaus on the horizon, rolling roads, and hardly any traffic in places, the ride became everything we had hoped for. As we entered Kankrajhor, the surroundings changed completely. Narrow village roads, dense forests, ups and downs, and a few rough patches made it feel like we had entered a different world altogether. Finally, we reached *Jhinuk Camp, Kankrajhor* — the destination of our first chapter. This is only the beginning.
