The Commodore 64 version was released in 1990 by Ocean Software, and Special FX Software was responsible for the conversion. The player takes on the role of an unnamed resistance fighter who sets out on a mission to rescue his kidnapped family. King Crimson, a mad scientist commanding the Crimson Corps, is responsible for their abduction. During his journey, the hero must fight his way through successive enemy-controlled areas, battling soldiers, tanks, airplanes, mechanical creatures, and powerful combat machines, among other enemies. An important element of the gameplay is collecting red keys, which some defeated enemies leave behind. These keys can be used in special armory rooms to obtain additional weapons and equipment. The player can carry a maximum of six keys, so they must manage them wisely and choose the most useful weapons. Among other things, various types of primary weapons and additional gear carried in a backpack are available. The main objective of the game is to fight your way through King Crimson’s forces, rescue your family members, and reach the final showdown with the leader of the Crimson Corps himself. The ending is also influenced by the number of family members rescued, so collecting the right number of keys is important not only during combat but also for achieving the best ending.
