The Stairs | Mr. Kriss, Faris Azim & Erik ft. Kobaryo | SENPU

📍 Prague, Czech Republic 🇨🇿 Had an amazing time improvising this site-specific piece with Mr. Kriss and Erik. It was completely impromptu. We were just walking to get dinner when we started talking about how beautiful the stairs were and how nice it would be if we could dance with them. Mr. Kriss simply said, “We can.” And that was the start of everything. Sometimes, something as simple as a gesture or a question can lead to something beautiful. I’ve also been seeing Kobaryo’s work on Instagram for a while, and I’ve always found his creativity mind-blowing. So I thought, why not ask if he’d be down to collaborate on our session video? Originally, we didn’t even have a song when we danced, just the surrounding sounds, our movements, and our breathing. When Kobaryo sent me his version and brought Senpu into the video, I got so hyped that I posted it right away. This whole collaboration was super inspiring, and I learned so much from it. One thing I took away from this: don’t be shy to ask. There’s nothing to lose. If there’s no reply, maybe it’s just not the right time yet. But if they do reply, that connection alone can motivate you to create more, communicate with others, and keep improving yourself.
