UK to Pakistan by Motorcycle Ep. 10 | I Dropped My Africa Twin in Montenegro | Day 10

Day 10 of my solo motorcycle journey from the UK to Pakistan on a Honda Africa Twin 1100. Today I ride from Mostar, Bosnia, through some of the best roads of the trip, cross into Montenegro, and drop the bike on gravel. 😅 It’s only 250km, but it’s all local roads, passes and a border crossing, about 8 hours of riding. I expected slow single-lane traffic the whole way, but most roads were empty and beautiful, and I could ride at my own pace. The climb towards Foča and the final 20km to the Montenegro border were rough, though. Piva Canyon was the highlight of the day. Tunnels carved into the rock, a turquoise lake and incredible drone shots. Then, 10–15 minutes later, a thunderstorm rolled in. I sheltered in a tunnel, saw clear skies ahead and pushed on. After the Lake Piva bridge, heading towards the Sedlo Pass, I stopped on a sloped, gravelly roadside. My foot slipped and the bike went down slowly. Thankfully there was no damage to me or the bike. I took off the top box, a pannier and the luggage, but still couldn’t lift it on the loose gravel. Then a Swiss rider on another Africa Twin stopped to help. He’d dropped his own bike the day before! 🙌 Lesson learned: watch where you put your foot down.
