MA Kalyanakrishna Bhagavathar - Lalgudi Jayaraman - Pazhani Subramania Pillai - Trichy Sankaran

Angu Vilas, Dindigul, 1950s. Notice the exquisite gumkhis by Sri Pazhani in the entire concert including the two Tanis. Also the double mridangam by Sri Pazhani & Trichy Sankaran, Sri Pazhani's favourite & famous disciple. Although both have played together in a number of concerts, this is the only one I could salvage from Angu Vilas, the proprietor Sri Angamuthu Pillai was a great connoisseur of art arranged several concerts in his house in Dindukkal. Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira (SRLKM) has published a special edition of their magazine 'Lalitha Kala Tarangini' on Legendary Pazhani Shri M Subramania Pillai. It has articles from eminent personalities like Lalgudi Jayaraman, TK Murthy, Culcutta KS Krishnamurthy, KS Kalidas, Palakkadu Raghu, BM Sundaram, R Vedavalli, Trichy J Venkatraman, on Pazhani Shri. M Subramania Pillai. It can be accessed by downloading the link: http://www.srlkmandira.org/newsletter...
