Zen — a karesansui, a dry landscape garden. Here water is expressed without any water at all: raked white gravel becomes rippling waves, and a few still rocks become mountains and islands. This is the art of subtraction, where empty space itself becomes the subject and the mind grows quiet. Felt piano and cello drift through the stillness, with the soft hollow clack of a bamboo shishi-odoshi. One hour of original Japanese neo-classical adagio, made for sleep, deep rest and quiet focus.
