Let's Fix Computers Ep. 17 - iMac G4 Hard Drive

Blast to the past, replacing the Hard Drive in an iMac G4. Sorry it's a long one, but I thought I'd leave all the details in, including HDD diagnosis. These old iMacs are surprisingly accessible, however, unless you have at least a 1GHz model with DDR RAM, I wouldn't recommend investing any money in them. They're charming computers, but even with a fresh install of 10.4 this one was horridly slow on an 800MHz CPU and 512MB of SD-RAM. Music is "Wukki" by Fuzz & Million used with permission.
