Presidential Address on World Standards Day 2026 | Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon'ble Union Minister

During the presidential address on World Standards Day, Shri Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution; New and Renewable Energy; and Education, said, “Under the vision of PM Narendra Modi ji, our journey towards Viksit Bharat is driven by a single mantra: Quality, Quality, and only Quality.” Speaking on this year’s theme, ‘Shared Vision for a Better World: SDG 7 (Clean and Affordable Energy)’, he highlighted the role of Indian Standards developed by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in shaping India’s energy transformation.
