Gran Turismo 3 - Licence R-6 (NTSC-U) - 9 golds in a row

If you've ever tried getting all golds in the licences of the US (NTSC-U) version of Gran Turismo 3, you almost certainly struggled with R-6, the Tahiti Maze hairpin test with the Lancia Delta HF Integrale rally car. 29.400 is a very strict gold time (especially compared to PAL's gold time of 29.700), and many consider it to be one of the hardest licence tests in GT history. I took a break from practicing GT Concept for my upcoming ESA Summer 2026 speedrun to go back to GT3 and brush up my rallying skills. I challenged myself to get gold as many times in a row on NTSC-U R-6, inspired by Sough's challenge of golding A-7 as many times in a row -    • Gran Turismo 3 A7 License 7 Golds in a Row   My initial goal was 5 in a row, which took over an hour to achieve, but I decided to keep going afterwards and I somehow managed to go all the way up to 9. A shame I just missed out on 10, I was on-pace but I messed up the final corner by cutting too close which broke my slide, but I'm already quite proud to be able to do it 9 times. I mainly wanted to demonstrate that, while this is a nightmare test casually, it's actually quite consistent when you apply a methodical approach to each hairpin.
