A 60-year-old woman was seriously injured on the Rocky Mountain Coaster at Copper Mountain Resort in Colorado, after her attorneys say she was thrown from the cart while her seatbelt remained fastened. According to her legal team, Nicki Parker became tangled in the restraint and was dragged along the track as the coaster continued moving, leaving her with life-changing injuries including a traumatic brain injury, a punctured lung, a separated shoulder and deep lacerations. The ride was closed while state officials investigated what happened, but the biggest question is still hard to ignore: if the seatbelt was still fastened, how did she end up outside the cart?
