Mostly because they have skipped their home country on their previous European tour in early 1979, the band have decided to finish off the decade with a tour through the United Kingdom (and one show in Ireland). While the band is still in a similarly creative mood as on the "Jazz Tour", the intimiate atmosphere of this tour has led to a couple more sloppiness than usually - but usually the genius of the band wins over that. Freddie's voice has even improved further since Saarbrücken and he sounds simply incredible for the entirety of the tour, delivering some of his best shows ever. Unfortunately, it suffers under the reign of a fan group called "Royal Family". They have recorded every show (and many more before and after the tour) but unfortunately it was quite toxic inside the group, thus only five shows emerging. Please god, give us more! The setlist mostly stays the same as the one from the "Live Killers" album mixed with Saarbrücken with a few additions, most notably "Save Me" (always played after the medley) and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" which gave this tour its title, both from the upcoming "The Game" album. No consecutive show features the same setlist and on two nights at the same place, "Liar" always make an appearance. The brief "Thunderbolts & Lightning" tape has been replaced by a much longer tape, recorded by Roger Taylore and sometimes called "Drone Tape" but often simply referred to as "Intro". Tonight, the band open with "We Will Rock You (fast)" and "Let Me Entertain You" as they did on the previous tour but songs would be shuffled around quite a lot. Unfortunately, while both encore breaks are present in full, all songs from "Love of My Life" to "Liar" are missing on this recording. 00:00:00 - 01. Intro (tape / cut) 00:01:04 - 02.
