Each box in the Legends series is a complete solo game where you take the role of one of the First Hunters in the lore of Primal, fighting a legendary Primordial monster. By combining multiple sets, you get a cooperative game for 2–3 players. Voice of the Earth is one of the first sets released in the Primal: Legends series, featuring the duel between Nehmor the Ancient and Tormanthu. The game inherits the essence of the card-play from Primal: The Awakening — the monster reaction system, card sequencing, and multi-use cards — but it goes its own way to create a fast experience that's quick to set up. No board. No miniatures. No campaign or crafting. Here it's only your deck and the monster: a new boss-fight card game, with its own rhythm and its own tactical depth. For one reason or another these are just shy of perfect. Whether it's mechanics, length, brain burn whatever. 4.0 - This is where a game becomes recommended. Now I may or may not be in the mood, or even own it, especially considering other games. But a 4 is where we cross from good to great.3.5 - Really enjoyed, don't love it, will often lose out to better games, but there's a part of me that wants to own it/play it more. 3.0 - A good game, I enjoy playing it. But also if I never play it again I'm not losing any sleep over that. 2.5 - Wasn't the biggest fan. Wasn't the worst, but didn't feel like the best use of time. Would prefer not to play again but am willing to given the right circumstances. 2.0 - A game I don't want to play again. I'm not saying it isn't good, I'm saying I don't want to play it again regardless of circumstance. 1.5 - I did not like this game, do not want to play it, and think it's a fairly flawed game. 1.0 - I can't imagine rating a game this poorly ever. It would take something so abysmal I probably didn't get to even play it.
