Animal Engine - JIANT FM - FM1

JIANT FM — FM1 | Animal A little jam exploring the Animal, Drum X and Bytebeat engines of my custom firmware, JIANT FM, for the FM1. First of all, I want to thank everyone for the incredible support and love you've been giving this project. It makes me really happy to see so many people connecting with my way of thinking, creating and designing instruments. The firmware is still in beta. There are some CPU performance and UI issues I need to solve before I can move forward with a more stable version. Right now, development is temporarily on hold because I've run out of funds for the project this month, including Claude credits, which have been an essential tool in helping me turn my ideas into something real. JIANT FM started as a very personal experiment, an attempt to build the synthesizer I've always wanted to have. Somehow, it kept growing and eventually found its way into your homes, studios and creative processes. That's something I never imagined, and it means a lot to me. My intention is to keep improving it and make it available to everyone, free and open, while continuing to explore the connection between technology, sound design and my own creative practice as a visual artist. If you're curious about my visual work, you can find it on Instagram at @juanjiant. I also have some music on Spotify. And if you enjoy JIANT FM, find it useful, or feel that it inspires you to explore new possibilities in music creation, you can support its development here: ☕ Ko-fi: ko-fi.com/juanjiant ☕ Cafecito: cafecito.app/juanjiant 💛 Belo: $juanjiant / juanjiant.belo Any contribution helps me dedicate more time and resources to development and keep this project accessible to everyone. Thank you so much for all the love, feedback, curiosity and encouragement. Knowing that something that started as a personal idea can become part of other people's creative worlds gives me so much motivation to keep going. Take care of yourselves, and keep experimenting.
