Greetings! Mirfield is a small town that sits between Brighouse and Dewsbury. Mirfield was also the birthplace of the actor Sir Patrick Stewart, as well as Richard Reed, the co-founder of Innocent Drinks. Mirfield also has an annual agricultural show called Mirfield Show, Mirfield became the first Fairtrade Town in Kirklees and only the fourth in West Yorkshire. Upper Hopton is a semi-rural village nestling in the foothills of the Pennines. The original community was based upon the woollen, mining and farming industries. However in recent times the village has seen a large influx of people from many backgrounds.
