OLAF’S BANE - Thus Far

(Verse 1) I hit the bottom where the shadows freeze Staring at the dirt from my calloused knees You look around when you lose your grip At the broken cup and the fading script. (Verse 2) I spent my seasons chasing shifting sand Building a kingdom out of empty hand But a man gets tired of the weight he bears Trading his worship for a ghost's despair. (Verse 3) Look at the valleys that I stumbled through Every closed door led me back to You I had to lose the things I held so tight Just to see the dawning of a different light. (Verse 4) Thus far He's brought me through the wind and rain Washing the poison from the old domain It’s a slow-growing seed in a hardened soil Finding the peace underneath the toil.
