The eyepiece lens ring mount is secured using a **single screw**, providing a simple, stable, and highly reliable mounting solution for compact sights and red dot optics. Installation is quick and straightforward: simply tighten the screw until you feel the resistance increase as the mount securely grips the eyepiece ring. *There is no need to overtighten it.* The large contact area and friction around the eyepiece ring provide an extremely firm and secure hold. The mount is manufactured from **carbon-fiber reinforced polycarbonate**, combining excellent strength, impact resistance, and durability while keeping the overall weight low. Extensive strength and durability testing has been carried out. The mount is designed to withstand impacts well beyond what would normally be encountered during use. In practical terms, an impact severe enough to break the mount would also be likely to cause serious damage to both the thermal unit and the optic mounted to it. Why use an eyepiece-mounted optic? This system provides an excellent alternative to traditional **45° offset mounts**, which require the rifle to be rotated when transitioning to the secondary optic. In airsoft, tilting the rifle also changes the orientation of the hop-up effect, which can negatively influence the BB trajectory. By positioning the secondary optic directly above the thermal unit, the rifle can remain upright, allowing for a much more natural transition between optics without affecting BB trajectory. The mount also features a **standard accessory rail**, allowing it to be used with a wide variety of compact sights and optics.
