Kingdom Hearts Switch 2 - Which Games Hold 60fps and Which Don't?

The Kingdom Hearts collection released on Nintendo Switch 2 today, and this video tests the frame rate of every playable game in the collection, using a custom frame rate analysis tool. Tested on Nintendo Switch 2. The good news is that the vast majority of the collection runs at a locked 60fps. Kingdom Hearts 1, Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts 2, Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance all hold a full 60fps throughout. The only two games that drop below that target are the collection's most visually demanding modern titles. Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep A Fragmentary Passage averages just under 50fps, sitting mostly between the high 30s and 60, while Kingdom Hearts 3 is the heaviest hitter, averaging around 48fps and dipping into the mid 20s during its busiest moments before climbing back toward the high 50s. Given these are the two Unreal Engine based entries in the collection, it is no surprise they are the ones that cannot quite hold a locked 60. The tool measures real framerate by detecting duplicate frames to calculate true FPS separately from the container rate, alongside per frame frametime data and 1% lows that reveal stuttering average figures hide. On the resolution side it tracks perceived sharpness, which sits around 80% for both Kingdom Hearts 0.2 and Kingdom Hearts 3. The CSVs provided cover only the two games that drop from 60fps, as the rest hold their target. Whether you are weighing up the Kingdom Hearts collection on Switch 2, wondering how the modern entries hold up, or a fan of frame rate analysis, this test covers every game.
