Mafia (PS2) - Chapter 1: An Offer You Can't Refuse

A mafioso named Tommy Angelo confesses to a detective about his activities in the Salieri crime family, starting with his first run-in with them as a lowly taxi driver back in 1930. Mafia is an excellent cult classic on the PC, but unfortunately fell into the fate of having console ports that are severely compromised. While it is still a playable game, the PS2 version features numerous loading screens that are quite long (I sped up the loading screens down to at least three seconds), severely downgraded graphics and Free Ride Extreme is replaced by a racing mode. The difficulty is also noticeably scaled down. The PS2 version also has no option to turn off the music, making it copyright-unfriendly, but nonetheless I will try to keep my videos as unabridged as I can. On the flipside, the PS2 version features slightly touched-up cinematics and the game appears to be a little more user-friendly, such as how items are automatically picked up and that there are holographic green arrows that point to items and objectives that may not be very obvious.
