Croesyceiliog AFC VS Cwmbrân Town | Ardal Southern Highlights

FT: Croesyceiliog 1-3 #Crows Derby delight for our first team as we emerge victorious from a gripping Afon Llwyd Derby, breaking Croesyceiliog’s unbeaten record with a late double. We could hardly have wished for a better start in a half of few chances, breaking the deadlock in the 4th minute when Alex Davies (https://cazbah.wales and R W Cole Optician) showed his sharpness in the box to fire low past the keeper. Croesy were the better side in the second half and deservedly equalised with the game’s standout moment - a spectacular overhead kick on 80 minutes by Callum Wakeham that left fans of both sides stunned. But just when it seemed the spoils would be shared, we struck late with ruthless efficiency. On 88 minutes, Harry Russell (Quarry Inn) slid home at the far post from Harry Grinham’s (Chris Timm) looping cross, sparking jubilation among our supporters. Then, deep into stoppage time, as Croesy pushed for an equaliser, Cristian O’Donnell (Loft Boarding South Wales) produced a goal to remember, embarking on a surging solo run from his own half before coolly finishing to seal the points.
