P and M nomenclature

P/M nomenclature is the way of representing configuration of molecules having planar and axial chirality. Molecules having axial chirality are birayl compounds, allenes, alkyledenecyloalkanes, spiranes and helicenes. Molecules having axial chirality are ansa compounds, [n,n]paracyclophanes and trans-cyclooctene. In this video the way of determining P/M configuration of different molecules have been discussed in detail.
