Thurman Munson Names 5 Players He Absolutely DESPISED

#baseball #baseballhalloffame #baseballplayer #baseballgame #mlb #thurmanmunson "I hate his guts." That is the kind of line people imagine coming out of Thurman Munson's mouth when he talked about the men who crossed him. It captures something true about him, even though there is no proof he ever said those exact words about any single player. Before we get into who actually earned a place on this list, let's remember who Thurman Munson really was. He was the first Yankees captain since Lou Gehrig, a title that came with enormous weight and enormous expectations. He was the emotional center of a team that captured three straight American League pennants and then went back to back on World Series titles. He was tough behind the plate, sharp with a bat in his hands, and almost impossible for any manager to replace. Teammates trusted him. Pitchers leaned on him. Opponents feared facing him with the game on the line. Disclaimer: All content on this channel is shared solely for entertainment, commentary, and informational purposes.
