Brandon Aiyuk had $27 million guaranteed for 2026 — for skill, injury and salary cap. That's what "fully guaranteed" means in the NFL. The 49ers voided all of it in July 2025 and nobody knew until November. By then his 50 days to challenge it had expired. The clause that did it is the default section of his contract, which CBS Sports reports is word-for-word the same as Nick Bosa's and Brock Purdy's. Eight weeks earlier, the Raiders voided $35.25 million of Christian Wilkins's guarantees after a dispute over a second foot surgery — and he fought it. His case sets the CBA's second-opinion right against the player contract's physical-condition clause, and it's still unresolved. Now the money may run the other way: the CBA's forfeitable-breach rules let a team try to recover bonus money it already paid.
