KINOO DEMOLITIONS UNDERWAY | WAIYAKI WAY EXPANSION PROJECT Major transformation is taking shape along the Waiyaki Way corridor, with demolition works now underway in Kinoo as preparations continue for the ongoing highway expansion project. Our latest ground update captures buildings being brought down, debris being cleared, and sections of land being opened up to facilitate the planned infrastructure improvements. Beyond the demolitions, construction of service lanes is also progressing across different sections of the corridor, forming a key part of the wider road expansion works. These service lanes are expected to improve access to businesses, residential estates, commercial properties, and other developments along the highway while helping local traffic connect more efficiently with the main road network. Once completed, the expanded highway and improved service lanes could help ease traffic pressure, reduce delays, improve connectivity between Nairobi and surrounding areas, and support the movement of people and goods. Better road access can also benefit businesses, create opportunities for commercial development, and enhance the overall transport experience for motorists and other road users. In this video, we take you on the ground in Kinoo to witness the ongoing demolitions and examine the wider construction activities taking place along the Waiyaki Way corridor.
