Al-Jazari | Father of Robotics | The Medieval Engineer Who Built Machines That Moved on Their Own

Welcome to Files of History. Over 800 years ago, Al-Jazari built water-powered machines that could lift water, measure time, and even automatically serve soap and towels. Often called the “Father of Robotics,” Al-Jazari was one of the great mechanical engineers of the medieval Islamic world. His machines used water, floats, ropes, gears, valves, pistons, and carefully connected mechanisms to turn one movement into another. In this documentary, we explore how three of his most fascinating machines actually worked: • The Water-Powered Pump • The Elephant Clock • The Automatic Hand-Washing Machine DISCLAIMER: This video is created for educational and documentary purposes.
