Silly Point | Shadab as Batter Only? | Tanveer & Wasim Question | Silly Point | 26-10-26

In this episode of Silly Point, hosted by Asif Khan, former chief selector Mohammad Wasim and former Test fast bowler Tanveer Ahmed engage in a thorough analysis of Pakistan’s ODI clash against England. The panel thoroughly evaluates Shadab Khan’s role in the national team, praising his impressive contributions with the bat while raising serious concerns over his bowling form. Tanveer Ahmed argues that playing Shadab as a front-line all-rounder is costing team balance, advocating instead to consider him primarily as a specialist batter. The show also addresses the controversial omission of young spinner Sufiyan Muqeem from the squad. Tanveer calls the selection decision a major injustice to the emerging bowler and demands direct accountability from the selection board. Furthermore, Mohammad Wasim expresses concern over the mounting pressure on Pakistan's senior players, noting how internal uncertainty makes long-term spots difficult to secure. The experts also critique England's ongoing bowling struggles throughout the series.
