UETCL Launches Karuma–Tororo Transmission Project to Boost Power Reliability and Regional Trade

The Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) has commenced construction of a 347-kilometre, 400KV transmission line linking Karuma to Tororo to strengthen power supply in Eastern Uganda and the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area. The 342.6-million-euro project includes the development and expansion of key substations, including new facilities at Ntinda and Tororo Border.
