I Tried to Photograph Saturn from Dublin

Saturn is more than a billion kilometres away — but right now, it's about as close to my garden in Dublin as it gets. After months of photographing deep-sky objects, I wanted to try something completely different: photographing Saturn from my light-polluted back garden. Over three nights I worked out where Saturn would appear, built a new planetary setup, battled clouds, and eventually captured my first image of the planet. Then I tried to push things a little further... This is the latest chapter exploring what can be photographed from a small garden under the skies of Dublin, Ireland.
