Triumph Stag - Reassembly of a steering rack.

Here is the link:    • Triumph Stag - Disassembly of a power stee...   This video shows how I went about rebuilding the rack on a Triumph Stag. The rack is assembled and in the car. It is working and I will monitor the cheaper rack seals I used. Here is an update. March 2021. The cheaper seals leaked. I think the walls of the seals were too thin to keep the fluid in. However, on disassembly they looked OK. .Again I ran into a problem with the seal at the top of the control valve. I took a slice out of the seal. The end of the shaft should have been chamfered so the seal can slide over it. I did find another old shaft and the end of that shaft was chamfered so it looks like a design change.
