बुद्ध की मूर्ति के ऊपर Cross! तमिलनाडु के एक Christian Trust के Zen Meditation Centre की तस्वीर और उसकी धार्मिक पहचान को लेकर मद्रास हाई कोर्ट में अहम मामला पहुँचा। FCRA रजिस्ट्रेशन के लिए खुद को गैर-धार्मिक बताने वाले Kanzeon Public Charitable Trust को कोर्ट से राहत नहीं मिली और हाई कोर्ट ने उसका FCRA रजिस्ट्रेशन खारिज करने के केंद्र सरकार के फैसले को बरकरार रखा। इस मामले में मद्रास हाई कोर्ट ने हिंदू धर्म को Inclusive यानी समावेशी और अब्राहमिक मजहबों, यहूदी, ईसाई और इस्लाम को Exclusive यानी अपने धार्मिक सत्य को अंतिम मानने वाला बताया। कोर्ट ने Zen Buddhism को महायान बौद्ध परंपरा का हिस्सा मानते हुए कहा कि ट्रस्ट को अपने आवेदन में अपनी धार्मिक पहचान सही तरीके से बतानी चाहिए थी। आखिर FCRA क्या है? विदेशी फंडिंग पर सरकार इतनी सख्ती क्यों करती है? हिंदू धर्म और अब्राहमिक मजहबों के अंतर पर कोर्ट ने क्या कहा? और इस पूरे मामले में ट्रस्ट का FCRA आवेदन क्यों खारिज हुआ? जानिए इस वीडियो में। A Cross Above a Buddha Statue! The Madras High Court heard an important case concerning the photograph of a Zen Meditation Centre run by a Christian trust in Tamil Nadu and its religious identity. The Kanzeon Public Charitable Trust, which presented itself as a non-religious organisation while applying for FCRA registration, failed to get relief from the court. The High Court upheld the Centre’s decision to reject its FCRA registration application. In this case, the Madras High Court described Hinduism as inclusive, while characterising the Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, as exclusive, holding their respective religious truths to be final. The court also discussed Zen Buddhism as part of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition and emphasised that the trust should have accurately disclosed its religious identity in its application.
