Lake Road to Tule Lake — Probably Not the Best Route for Big ADV Bikes 😅 @ Hollister Hills SVRA

This is Part 2 from last weekend’s ride, taking our usual route out toward Tule Lake 🏞️    • HOLLISTER HILLS: SLIDE OUT WARNING! | Kid ...   This time we went via Lake Road instead of High Road, then continued on Lake → Olive Orchard Return → Harmony Gate Road to come down. On a previous ride along Lake Road, we ran into a group of big adventure bikes (BMW GSs) that had ventured in… and ended up with multiple bikes stuck 😅 Between the whoops, constant elevation changes, and sandy surface, Lake Road can be pretty unforgiving — especially if you haven’t done your homework. Honestly, if you do even a little research, this probably isn’t a route you’d intentionally choose on a big ADV bike. We would’ve loved to help, but we were riding with kids 👨‍👦, and stopping there would’ve made restarting tricky — especially for my son on his Honda CRF125F Big Wheel 🏍️ Dad was riding a KTM 300 XC-W TPI Six Days (trusted) 🔧, but keeping things moving was the safer call for a family ride. They also had plenty of riders to help each other out, so sometimes you just let ADV karma work itself out 🤘
