DreamScreen IMASK + AutoMask | 16:9 Setup & Automatic Masking

Designed for the director’s vision. See how a native 16:9 screen adapts to your films. IMASK’s motorised top and bottom panels replace unused screen area with a black frame around the picture, while AutoMask recalls your calibrated positions automatically. Starting with IMASK already mounted, this film shows how to connect AutoMask, open its local interface on your phone, check the motor endpoints and save your masking positions with the IMASK remote. Use AutoMask’s built-in alignment pattern for the full 16:9 opening once, then hide it. No matching test-image file is needed. Six physical memories cover the key formats in your setup. Fine digital trimming handles small differences between nearby formats. For every film format, including 2.40:1, projector zoom, focus and lens shift remain fixed while only the top and bottom masking adjusts. There is no additional lens alignment pattern to set up for wider films. No external control system is required. For alignment, recall the full 16:9 mask position first. Bring the outside edge of the red stripe to the inner edge of the black masking. A trace of overlap is fine; leave no visible gap. Save your setup. Put the phone down. Enjoy the film. Follow your IMASK operating manual when programming the motor positions.
