With X.H.P Water Pressure. Greene K P.H
Thought i'd pop here while out on one of those days for the That One Place project. I found out the original outhouse here was intact and housed the original "Greene King" Green Cast Iron high level cistern inside, which is still intact today. Obviously this is in a staff area but it looks as if it may open up in the peak summer seasons, so I will return several times, lovely friendly old place. The fittings are original from the 1970s and in well kept condition. Only the stainless steel urinal is a replacement.
The flush is pretty powerful, but the refill is without a doubt the quickest i've ever seen in person & on youtube. Never have I noticed a syphon struggle to catch up with the flow rate on a fully working low level WC. The spout looks as if explosion is imminent. There is a pumping station just outside the village just to answer any questions, a lovely old historic one too.
The cast iron cistern in the outhouse appears to be a 1930s STOM Cardiff. I wonder if it still has it's specially made XHP M.O.H Pattern Portsmouth Float Valve?
