Federal Signal Eclipse 8 Siren Test - Full Alert - Stillwater, Minnesota

Date: 6/3/20 Location: Trinity Lutheran Church, Stillwater, Minnesota Temp: 85°F Signal: 3 minute alert Units Heard: Federal Signal Eclipse 8 (main unit) - 200ft Federal Signal 2001-DC - 0.43 miles Federal Signal 2001-DC - 0.86 miles Federal Signal 2001-DC - 1.24 miles After the T-128 in New Richmond, we made our way over to Stillwater for the afternoon test after learning that Washington County would still be testing. Stillwater is in the northeastern part of the Twin Cities, and has a system of 8 Federal Signal sirens. We drove around town for about 45 minutes not being able to decide which siren to go to, before eventually settling on this Eclipse, which was installed in 2016 to provide better coverage downtown. Due to an EMS call in Woodbury, Washington County was late with testing. After 4 minutes of waiting, tones finally rolled through, and it fired up in full alert. This thing had some insane overtones, and was crazy loud. This is easily one of the loudest omnidirectional sirens I have heard. I am hoping to return to Stillwater soon to catch their Model 2, but I am uncertain when that will be. Enjoy!
