"War of the Gargantuas," a 1966 Japanese kaiju film directed by Ishirō Honda, may initially appear to be a typical kaiju movie filled with spectacular battles and destruction. However, beneath its surface lies a surprisingly deep exploration of fraternal conflict and tragedy. Granted, it may not be too surprising as the same creative team that made the original Godzilla film also worked on this movie.
